All at JCF North Devon were delighted that Jaden was able make it back from Mexico to the UK to take part in Songs from Stage and Screen with Taya Lambden and Meg Scoins at Escape Down the Rabbit Hole. A profit of £201.00 was made which will go to the North Devon teams designated charities for the coming year which are Care for Kids and Dogs Helping Kids.
Well done to JCF Mexico in Peurto Morelos and many thanks to all who took part at the very first Sangria competition for making this event a success!! Profits from this event benefitted school toys for Escueala Primaria David Alfaro Siqueiros, an air fare to relocate a rescued street dog and to provide internet access to a local dog rescue charity.
In the first 3 months of 2018 we held events including JCF Mexico’s first “Evening with Jaden Cornelious” at Lola y Moya and a “Back to School Disco” and the JCF North Devon teamed up with a new venue in Barnstaple – “Escape Down the Rabbit Hole” and held their first open mic night and charity quiz night – both were a great success and grateful thanks to the venues who have enabled us to hold our fundraising events there.
Thanks to all those who supported JCF Mexico at their 1st Cookies and Carols event on 9/12/17 supporting MexiCan and Puerto Morelos Cause4Paws and to everyone who came along to support JCF North Devon’s Carol’s for Clarity on 23/12/17. Both events were a great success and we’re hoping to repeat them in December 2018.

A Night at the Musicals was a wonderful musical fundraiser, hosted by Sarah Anastasiades and starring the vocal talents of JCF North Devon manager and classical crossover singer Tamsin Ball accompanied by Taya Lambden and Troy Ward-Waistell. £465 profit was raised with 80% of the money going to JCF North Devon’s chosen cause – the mental health support charity – Clarity and 20% of the money going to North Devon’s Community radio station The Voice FM.
A great day was had by all at the Great Hampstead Bark Off where Anneka Svenska, Peter Egan, Michelle Collins, Alan Carr and Marc the Vet were the celebrity Judges. Thanks to all those that attended the event and particularly those who supported our stall organised by Rachel Trafford where total of £45.26 was raised for IAPWA and Last Hope to Life Shelter.
