Totally Olivia Tour Reunion

The Totally Olivia Tour Reunion held on Friday 19th October 2012at the Old Market Inn, Holsworthy, Devon raised 1117.09 towards 3 breast cancer charities/campaigns. 1049.47 was raised leading up to date of the event and a further 67.62 was donatedby the close.

Many thanks go to event organisers Lee Sycamore and Emma Sillifant and many others for all their hard work in making thereunion sucha success.

New Celebrity Supporters

J C Fundraising is pleased to have 3 new celebrity supporters!! They are the lovely British model and actress Caroline Munroe probably best known as being a Bond girl with Roger Moore in The Spy Who Loved me; British actor Michael Barber most recently seen in the cult series Ashes to Ashes and British actor Ian McNeice who has been in numerous films and TVmost recently playing the role of Bert Large in the well loved series Doc Martin

Firewalk – Sunday 3rd March 2013

After the success of runningour lastsponsored Firewalk which raised2,200 for the Caroline Thorpe Children’s Ward and the North Devon Chemotherapy Appeal, we’re doing it all over again!!!

Age Concern Barnstaple £ District is our 2012/13 chosen charity so we would love it if you would help us raise funds for them but if there is a recognised charity close to your heart you are welcome to raise funds for that charity instead.

The event is being held in association with the Big Sheep, Bideford, North Devon on Sunday3rd March 2013with registration at 4.45pm, training willstart at 5.00pm and the actual Firewalk will start at approx 7.00pm.

The event is being run by the well respected Firewalk company Blaze. They are highly professional and their safety standards are second to none.

J C Fundraisingis extremely grateful to Rick Turner and all the staff at the Big Sheep for allowing us to hold this very exciting event there.

Kids Clothes & First Aid Collection

In association with registered charity Children in Distress, this year North Devon JCF volunteers are collecting good quality baby and children’s clothes (newborn – 10 years) and first aid items (such as bandages, thermometers, plasters and all the “normal” things used in a hospital) to be shipped out to Romania at the at the beginning of October. So when you next sort through your children’s clothes (perhaps ready for Autumn) or have any unopened first aid items to spare, can you please bear us in mind?

The collection points are:

BARNSTAPLE: J £ A Camera’s, Gammon Walk

BIDEFORD: Coversure Insurance Services, Mill Street

HOLSWORTHY: Yew Tree Cottage, Derriton

Donation must be received by 30th September to allow us time to sort through the items and then arrange for transportation.

Jaden becomes new Patron of Dogs Helping Kids

Jaden becomes a Patron of Devon based children’s charity Dogs Helping Kids. Jaden has always been a great admirer and supporter of their work and what they achieve. DHK has been a chosen charity of JCF since the beginning and we hope this venture continues to flourish and they are able to do more work to change more lives for the better.

New Charity Friend – Torron-Lee Dewar

Torron-Lee Dewar founded the Alliance Dance Unit at age 16, which consisted of only 4 dancers when he used to practise in his grandmothers back garden and now consists of 80+ dancers in split categories (Juniors, Senior, Elite £ the Master class). Torron has a real passion in dance and represents the U.K in every way possible.

Torron has won many awards since opening the dance project including the Philip Lawrence Award, Hounslow Boroughs Best Centre/Project of the Year, Outstanding Achiever of the Year, Winner of the Manchester NFA Awards for Most Outstanding Young Person.In Decemebr 2011 he put on a Christmas show at the Watermans Art Centre in Brentford which was a sell out!
