Helen’s Quirky Quiz night is on a roll!!! Thank you Lisa at the Windsor Arms for hosting another charity quiz night.
This time the winning team”No Hopers” helped the JCF raise 85.60 for North Devon charities
Jaden Cornelious and members of the JCF fundraising team were on hand to present a cheque for 3,000to the Caroline Thorpe Children’s Ward in January 2012
The cheque was presented to senior staff nurse Jan Braund along with colleagues Jane Dickinson and Migs Luckie. The money is being used to purchase and equip a transfer bag which will assist staff when moving children from hospital to hospital. A “shopping list” is currently being put together and when the equipment is purchased we will update new photos on our news page.
Photo below shows Jaden Cornelious and some of the JCF team at the cheque presentation at the Caroline Thorpe Ward, NDDH, Barnstaple, Devon
Jaden’s got a new challenge – please help!!!!! After the success in Devon during 2009/2010 when 9,000 was raised for 3 breast cancer campaigns, Jaden has challenged himself and the JCF London team to raise moremoney to help the same very worthy causes, so with the help of a couple of supporters:
…
Jaden Cornelious Fundraising is now proud to be sponsoring two children through nursery school in the Manjai Kunda area of Gambia in association with the Emmanual Stepping Stones charity.
It costs just 10.00 per month to help these young children through the early stages of schooling which is something often taken for granted ina lot ofcountries. There is a 20 starter fee which will help purchase a school uniform, shoes and a bag. The on going payment of 10 per month will support the childrens’ education for the foreseeable future. Without this they will have very little hope of further education and employment.
The photograph below show our two sponsored children Robert and Majula.
If you would like to sponsor a child in Gambia please get in touch with us by completing the form onour Contact Us page which is at the bottom of the Meet the Team tab.

Jaden was inspired by singing£nbsp;legend Olivia Newton-John and the hard work and efforts of racing car driver Emerson Newton-John to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.

He£nbsp;auditioned£nbsp;a group of non singers who became known as …
JCGC
JCGC (the Jaden Cornelious Gorgeous Choir) was born from Jaden£rsquo;s idea to get together a group of non-singers from various walks of life, train them to sing and put on a show called the Totally Olivia Tour which is based on songs made famous by the legend who is Olivia Newton-John.£nbsp; The show toured Devon and Somerset to raise money for 3 breast cancer charities/campaigns.£nbsp; This was successfully achieved by the end of April 2010 and in May the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre, Full Speed 2 a Cure and Cure Breast Cancer each received £pound;3,000 making £pound;9,000 in all.£nbsp;
£nbsp;
For the tour JCGC was made up of Jaden Cornelious, Caz Whale, Sue Dent, Bethany Davison, Mike Sim and MC/compare Sarah Anastasiades.

Jaden’s ‘Why’
£nbsp;
………….But they are rich…what have they got to worry about…..£nbsp; They are beautiful looking …stunning partner…hit albums….movies…..loadsa money….can’t be that bad for them…
That is how the majority of us think when any trial or tribulation is published about a mega star…. So when I read Olivia Newton- John’s auto biography, I was shocked and moved as to how this lady that had it all…lost it all including her father, business,£nbsp;her own health and then her partner….and what did she do…….. she never said ‘why me’ and she wrote a song called not gonna give in !!!!! The higher in life you are the further you have to fall…….Olivia never fell. She fought and thrived and turned all of life£rsquo;s crap into a spiritual, life changing journey….. It put a lot of what I was going through at the time into perspective and gave me an overwhelming sense of wanting to do something….. I felt proud to be an ONJ supporter…not just because of her music, BUT because of the role model she has become and how, despite her own demons, still fights hard for health, animal and mother nature’s wellbeing and is still releasing albums when others have long since given up……. I wanna be like her when I grow up !!!!! I wanna follow her example NOW!!!!
£nbsp;
Her story made me wanna achieve in life and to do something special and to help anyone/thing that can’t fight for themselves…… So I decided that I wanted to raise money for people suffering … I had done lots of charity work but wanted to do something for the lady that re-inspired me !!! SO I thought that for a male classical singer to pull off a whole evening singing Olivia Newton-John tracks would be a good challenge to set myself…AND… I wanted a backing group of people that weren’t singers and to train with them to develop a great backing sound….. I auditioned…. and found a great set of people that wanted to help…..When you are rehearsing 10+ hours a week for 4 months you tend to start to bond and get to know people ….some of the ladies would sing through tear soaked eyes and shaking lyric sheets …I couldn’t believe that people could be scared to ‘be heard’ I have been nervous about how I will be received but never about opening my gob…. so it put a lot of things into perspective for me and gave me a new appreciation of my ability to sing…..
£nbsp;
Some of these new singers had been through their own people drama that robbed them of a love of self…..domestic violence, illness, bereavement or sheer lack of a positive self image due to years of put downs…. These backing singers…JCGC (Jaden Cornelious’s Gorgeous Choir) have shed many tears, have nearly dropped out several times…but have£nbsp;now started£nbsp;the journey back to£nbsp;self and confidence in their own ability…and a HUGE desire to make a difference in people’s lives that don£rsquo;t have the ability to do it them selves !!!!!.. this has been a HUGE challenge for these people ….£nbsp;and still is……but we are all thriver£rsquo;s and life’s survivors !!!!!
£nbsp;
“You have to believe we are magic….nothing can stand in our way !!!”
