The title of the song is not a statement made from a place of ego, but from a place of self empowerment. We live in a world so full of haters and discriminators, people judging us because of our race, skin colour, beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, social status, height, weight, abilities, disabilities, age and so much more.
No doubt you have heard many times of the power of music. How it can stimulate emotions, create peace, happiness, transport us back in time, confirm the breaking of one’s heart, give us hope for a future, lie to us, bring us back to life. It can be a solitary experience, a family understanding and a time of going crazy with our friends and dancing like no one is watching.
I am a Classical Crossover singer from the UK (JadenCornelious.com) and CEO of JC Fundraising. I left the UK and I have been living in Mexico for a year and I am moved everyday by the amount of uncared for animals here.
A Night at the Musicals was a wonderful musical fundraiser, hosted by Sarah Anastasiades and starring the vocal talents of JCF North Devon manager and classical crossover singer Tamsin Ball accompanied by Taya Lambden and Troy Ward-Waistell.
£465 profit was raised with 80% of the money going to JCF North Devon’s chosen cause – the mental health support charity – Clarity and 20% of the money going to North Devon’s Community radio station The Voice FM.
A great day was had by all at the Great Hampstead Bark Off where Anneka Svenska, Peter Egan, Michelle Collins, Alan Carr and Marc the Vet were the celebrity Judges.
Thanks to all those that attended the event and particularly those who supported our stall organised by Rachel Trafford where total of £45.26 was raised for IAPWA and Last Hope to Life Shelter.
We’ve had several enquiries about people wanting to start up their own JCF group in the area they live, so over the next few weeks we look forward to being able to share events in Somerset and North London here in the UK.
JC Fundraising gives a very warm welcome to our new Patron Tamsin Ball.
Tamsin is a classiscally trainer singer based in the North Devon and has been performing since the age of four in theatre productions such as shows, musicals and pantomimes. Tamsin is not only a classical singer but is well used to sing jazz, pop and other genres.
Tamsin has performed at many prestigious charity and corporage functions at venues including the O2 Arena in London and the Louvre in Paris and she is no stranger to fundraising having raised thousands of pounds for her chosen charities.
Not only has Tamsin joined JCF as our new patron she has also agreed to be a fundraising co-ordinator in North Devon so the team are looking forward to working with her very much.
Taking place at the Royal North Devon Golf Club at Westward Ho! on Thrusday 18th May arriving at 7.00pm to start at 7.30pm. Tickets are £22.00 per person to include a two course meal plus coffee.
You are invited to listen to a whole variety of songs from the musicals by our new Patron Tamsin Ball who will be joined by Taya Lambden and Troy Ward-Waistell and the evening will be hosted by Sarah Anastasiades.
