We have great volunteers!

We neverforget or underestimate our dedicated volunteers who continue to raise funds for so many deserving causes.

Our recent events haveincluded:

October – Halloween party over 200 raised; November – Barberstop Headshaveover 250 raised; November – Zumbathon over 900 raised; December – House O’Christmas 500 raised; February – Valentine’s door knock 55 raised; February – Sponsored Firewalk (amount unknown as yet);March – Charitycise over 500 raised

All funds raised will be distributed in May.

Children In Distress – Love in a Box gifts on their way to Romania

JCF Devon have completed their Children in Distress “Love in a Box” appeal – the shoeboxes have now been filled with the aid of Santa’s little helper and will shortly be on their way to St Margaret’s Hospice in Bucharest, Romania.

This is the first time that JCF has taken part in the the “Love in a Box” appeal but we hope with the support of our friends and volunteers that we’ll be able to make a bigger difference next year.

JCF London is continuing to fundraise for CID until spring 2015 as one of it’s chosen charities so if you would like to make a donationto this veryworthy cause you can do so via “The Team” tab at the top of this page and then click on the link on the “Our Causes” page.

London events update

As a result of thefamily Halloween party (31/10/14) and the Zumbathon (2/11/14) the London JCF team have raised well in excess of 1,000 which will be included in the distribution to the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service and Children in Distress next year.

Many thanks to the team for organising the events, to all at the Isleworth Working Men’s Club and to the Windsor Leisure Centre for hosting the eventsand even more thanks to everyone who supported them and made them such a success.

Divine Lullaby charity single

New charity single Divine Lullaby recorded by Jaden Cornelious is released for ADCHS

Jaden has recently been inspired by the hard work of the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Serviceand the end of life care that they give to many children in the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire area of the UK. This new song isfor children and their families to relax to and for anyone who is afraid of the dark – that even when times are scary you can stillfind peace and tranquility.

End of year Dogs Helping Kids donation (2013/14)

On Friday 23rd May 2014 Jaden and Cathy were pleased to visit the Dogs Helping Kids HQ to present Tracey with a cheque for 1,400.00. The money was raised by the JCF volunteersover the previous 12 months byholding a car boot sale, quiz nights, asponsored walk along the Tarka Trail and a charity firewalk.

New roles for London volunteers

As from May 2014 Jaden and the team are pleased to announce that Julia Romp has agreed to take on the role of London manager/co-ordinator and Helen Gill has agreed to take on the role of secretary.

Both ladies are looking forward to working alongside the Devon team and also looking forward to the challenges ahead!
