JCF volunteer going to Zanzibar

JCF vsonjaolunteer Sonja enjoyed her visit to Africa last year with the North Devon based charity Emmanual Stepping Stones so much and is going back again in June 2013 with the charity “Health Improvement Project Zanzibar” charity number 1115604. Sonja is raising funds with a group of other fundraisers, including singer Peter Andre, by taking part in the “Road to Zanzibar” charity bike ride covering a distance of some 237km. Sonja says “despite the seemingly perfect environment in Zanzibar, life is tough. The current average life expectancy is a staggering 47 years. One in 180 women die during delivery of their child and 1 in 6 children die under the age of 7 with the majority dying when aged less than 2 years. HIPZ is developing Makunduchi and Kivunge Hospitals and thereby improving the provision of healthcare to the population of Zanzibar and you can be a part of the solution. You can and will make a difference, so please dig deep and donate now.”

JCF friend with Ewing’s Sarcoma

I do so much for major causes and love the work I do, but whats the point of having a fundraising non profit organisation if I cant help a mate?

I have a friend who at a very young age has had to suffer more than I ever have had to endure in my life. Despite immense times of fear and desperation and not knowing what the future holds, whether everything will come crashing down within a day and hearing the news that there is no more that can be done, he continues to have the lightness of spirit and the love for others and he still send me an SMS telling me to have a good gig …. what a guy !!!barry

Professional hairstylistBarry Portelli, lives in Malta and was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma in 2012. Ewing’s Sarcoma is a malignant small, round, blue cell tumour. It is a rare disease in which cancer cells are found in the bone or in soft tissue. The most common areas in which it occurs are the pelvis, the femur, the humerus, the ribs and clavicle (collar bone). He has endured more than 7 rounds of chemo, had operations and radiotherapy and although things are looking positive regarding his progress he is still undergoing loads of hospital trips not to mention many other specialist appointments.

Recently some of Barry’s friendshave writtento me asking me if I can help as last year his car burnt out andthe great amount of travelling that is being done for treatment is placing him and his mother under an extra amount of unneeded stress. So myself along with his friends thought maybe we could get some money together and treat him to a car so that he can have somethinguseful that will ease the travelling to and from hospital. Another friend in Malta is in touch with acar dealershipthat willgive a generous Barrydiscountas his case is well known there.

So the rest is up to you …. if you would love to help me do something nice then please donate, if not then that’s cool too. I just hope that if ever I feel life is too much and I need someone and something to help me keep going and for that someone to give mea reason also.

Thank you for your time.

Horse help

JCF is about helping others in difficult circumstances whether it be people or animals – financially or materially.

JCF was approached by a member of the Horse and Owners Centre support group for help as many of their social media members had requested a means of being able to make donations via Paypal to help Michelle Crowther of the HOHC in her work of rescuing and rehoming needy and neglected

horses. Although never having met Michelle, JCF offered to hold Paypal donations until such time that the HOHC had their bank and Paypal accounts in place.

The Horse and Owner Help Centre has confirmed that their Paypal account is now open so donations can be made directly to their Paypal account using the following email address: thehorseandownerhelpcentre@hotmail.co.uk

The Horse and Owner Help Centre registered company number 08306087 is a not for profit organisation registered with Companies House, registered address 18 Friarsmews, Bongor-on-Dee, Wrexham, Wales, LL13 0AX. Cheques made payable to The Horse and Owners Help Centre are accepted at this address.

JCF is aware of the current controversy on certain social media forums and we are not taking sides there are two sides to every story and our main concern was, and still is, for the horses. Due to this unfortunate controversy JCF has taken the decision to return all Paypal donations we were holding to the donors to give them the choice of donating directly to the HOHC if they wish.

JCF sincerely wishes Michelle and all her team at the Horse and Owners Help Centre every success in the future.

Help for Clwyd Davies – Channel 4 TV

Newsupdate issued today by the Horse and Owner Help Centre following the documentary aired on UK TV Channel 4 on Monday 7th January 2013:

It is with great pleasure and gratitude that Jaden Cornelious Fundraising has offered very kindly to accept Paypal donations for and on behalf of the Horse and Owner Help Center registered address:

LL13 0AX

The Horse and Owner Help Centre (registered company number 08306087) was founded and is run by Michelle Crowther. Its mission is to distribute assistance and financial help to horses and their owners such as Clwyd Davies and his equines.

Q£A:

Q: Who is JC Fundraising?

A: JCF is an independent group of volunteers who raise funds for charities, organisations and individuals in need

Q: Why not use the Horse and Owner Help Centre Paypal account?

A: As of yet a Paypal account has not been set up but this is in hand. Many people have requested a Paypal facility so in the interim JCF will collect any Paypal donations and a cheque will then be forwarded to the Horse and Owner Help Centre.

Q: Will Clwyd (or any other horse owner) get the funds personally?

A: No. All funds raised by way of Paypal donations through JCF will directly benefit Clwyds horses and others in the same situation as Clwyd. The owners will not personally gain from the money raised but they will be reassured that every effort will be given to help and support by way of providing feed, vets bills and other medical supplies etc for as long as the money is available.

Q: How can you donate?

A: Via the our Causes page on the JC Fundraising website www.jcfundraising.com/our-causes
